About Us

We do what we do because we enjoy it. Most riders don't have the knowledge or proper tools to work on their suspension. Those who do may not have the time. Plus, each bike usually needs at least some small amount of special attention in order to get it to work to its greatest potential for you.

Many riders have specific concerns and questions about suspension. How often should change my fork and shock oil? Would a revalve benefit my bike? Do I need different springs?… and the list goes on. We can answer the ones that stump you!

Owned by Phil Douglas, AfterShocks has been in business since 1986. Phil has been seriously riding and racing dirt bikes for over 25 years, and is a former District 36 #1 plate holder as well as ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) silver medallist. He has spent literally thousands of hours developing and testing valving systems to optimize the way motorcycle suspensions function. Also being a roadracer, Phil has learned to apply his dirt bike knowledge to work on road bikes as well.

All revalve work is personally handled by Phil - no exceptions.
